anyone use plug-in air fresheners?
I recently started using Wallflowers from Bath & Body Works. As much as I love them, they get quite hot while plugged in. Is this normal?? It's making me a little nervous.

I don't use them because a friend at work had a glade plug in cause a fire in her house.
if you google plug ins and fire it will come up that its a snopes rumor....but there are also articles that suggest it can happen (they can melt or short the circuit)

same reason.. I won't use them. Even though snopes says it's a rumor, it's not worth the risk. Reed diffusers work pretty well, and no fire hazard!

I agree. I know an insurance inspector and he has gone to a bunch of homes that went on fire to and were really because of these. they don't have 100% proof, but since they found nothing else, and the fire began in the general area they say its safe to say it was that
I'm not taking any chances, for a little fragrance. the reed defusers work amazing and there's no chance of fire with them.
