anyone use iMovie ... can use some help!

I help my father every year with a memorial golf outing and My DH and I are in charge of video/photography...we usually do slide show(s) at the dinner reception afterward. We always have used my DH's PC and the video editing programs but I was never good at them...I convince my husband to use iMovie this year and we are still learning it...I am a little disappointed that it can't do somethings we have done in the past with the more complicated program...but I understand it isn't meant for extravagant productions, just fun home videos. I just thought the simpleness of it would save us time and aggravation! Plus we can work on it on my laptop on the go and not be stuck inide our hosue working on it! LOL

but one thing we NEED it to do is to have two songs fade in and out up against each other..smoothly... instead of one song abruptly ending and the other abruptly starting. I don't understand why I can do it with the audio from the videos themselves but not music that accompanies it!

If you can understand my novel and can help, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks so much!

I think I ans my own question:

RIGHT after I created this post...I cont. to play around with it and I think I figured it out! ...in the audio adjustments I was clicking on manual and sliding it all the way over to the left thinking left meant to fade from nothing on up...but just for the he l l of it I tried sliding it all the way over to the right....(2:00) for both songs...and that worked perfectly...it is exactly what I was looking for!

YAY! Thanks anyway!
