Anyone take out a HELOC lately?
need some recs..
I think I will qualify but wonder if anyone has done it recently.

I haven't, but working in banking I can tell you that many banks are dropping their LTVs.
I think Chase is only doing 60%, BOA is 70%, the credit unions are 80%.

Yeah, Chase is low. I was going to try some credit unions. I have a pretty good ltv though so I thought I would shop a bit. Credit is also good and debt to income is good as well.
I'm nervous about looking into this and I don't know why..
with all the hype about frozen credit markets I fear the worst. I'm trying to get rid of some IRS debt before interest and penalties are asssessed. At least I will get a tax write off for the debt.
Thanks IRS for auditing me and thanks crooked accountant for doing me no favors!
