I had no idea they even offered camp to toddlers.

Anyone have experience? Not sure I feel comfortable doing this...but several of DD's nursery school classmates are going to camp this summer.

If so, which camp? Anyone go to Park Shore?

My DD went to camp last summer at 3. She went on the bus and had no problem. It was 3 days a week 9-1:30. She is going back this year same hours 5 days.

Crashing. I worked at a summer camp over the summer. Littlest one was about 2.5 years old. He was bathroom trained. Some children went half day and some went full day. I think the ones with older siblings went full day on the bus.

I send my son to a 2 year old program now, and will be sending him to the school's related summer camp for the summer for 4-5 hours a day. My parents will be dropping him off and picking him up, though. I wouldn't feel comfortable sending him on a bus at his age, but that's just me. Also, the camp itself is only for pre-K kids, which assuaged any worries about him being lost among big kids.

Dd is going to camp this summer at her nursery school. She turns 2 end of June. I was going to do a mommy and me with her at a day camp, but now I'm due with #2 in July so can't do it.

Dd's preschool has a summer camp. I sent her last summer when she was 3.5 and we will be going again.
Her camp takes kids from 2-5. We are in nj.

I only started sending my first DS to "camp" when he was 3.5 yrs old. And that was just a half day thing at the Y three days a week. Honestly, I was not comfortable sending them at 2. I will say that I have heard good things about Park Shore in general.

DD went to camp last summer when she was about 2.5.. it was at the preschool that she ultimately started a 3's program at in September. She enjoyed it.. it was 3 days a week 2.5 hours a day.. I thought it was good to get her ouyt of the house on the days I was working and also a good intro to preschool. She loved it.. I will send her again this summer.. but the camp was only for preschool kids and the preschool teachers ran it (and high school kids assisting) .. and no bus-- I wouldn't feel comfortable with that either.

My children did a camp when they were that age at their nursery school. They loved it. But it was appropriate for their age group as opposed to say a regular camp for kids 5+. The did art, various activities, playground time that included sprinklers or other water play (not swimming things like water cup races, paintbrush and water, trays with water toys).

DS went last year, but he was around 3.5. we live in NJ and our public school district has a little camp during the summer at one of the schools. its for ages 3-5- so i felt good sending him bc it was all his age group, no older kids to beat up on him HAHA. it was 3 days a week just from 8::30-11:30, and he LOVED it. i plan on sending him again this year, too.

My son's nursery school runs a very well known day camp, he just turned 3 and I'm considering sending him this summer 3xs per week.
