Anyone preggo but NOT married?

Good afternoon ladies - hope all mommies-to-be and babies are doing well. I was just wondering how many women are like me - happily pregnant and happily NOT not married. I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years now and this baby was a surprise, yet a blessing. While we always intended to get married before I got pregnant, now the issue (of marriage) is the last thing on my mind. I will be 19 weeks on Thursday, and all I am focused on is this pregnancy, where as before I was consumed with marriage! I love my boyfriend dearly and he will be an AMAZING father, but I am happy with the way things are. Anyone else in the same boat?

i wasnt married with my first child. The first thing out of my dads mouth was " so when are you going to get married". At the time, it was the furthest thing from my mind. I knew one day it would happen, but i didnt want to have a wedding while pregnant, and we had enough to digest with a suprise pregnancy.
As long as you are happy wiht your decision, thats all that matters.

Thank you very much for your reply! That's exactly how I feel - so much going on right now that I don't need the pressure of a wedding now too. I am just getting very tired with the question "So when is the wedding?"

I wasn't married with my first DD. I never married the father, thank god! However, you situation is different than mine. You have been with the father for 4 years. I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world! You are going to love being a Mom! it is going to change your life forever. The baby will come before anyone......you'll see. After I had my DD my whole world changed. I saw things differently, or shoud I say everything became clearer. She totally made a difference in my life and if it weren't for her I don't know where I'd be. B/c of her my dreams and her dreams were to the moon and back. When you become someone's mother you can't just sttle in life. You will always want more for yourself and for your child!

This was the card you were dealt, married or not. How you play the hand is what's important.

I'm right there with you. We have been together on and off for 4 years, and DC was definitely a surprise. With the baby coming, and so many things going on - business, new home shopping, a wedding is the last thing in our minds, and it doesn't phase me in the least....

Thanks ladies! I can't tell yo how much better I feel reading your responses. I thought I was the odd man - or should I say odd woman - out! I love reading all about you and your progress. What an exciing time for all of us - it just stinks that some people try to take some of the joy away from it (for me at last) by bringing up marriage all the time. Like Cakes said, you play the hand you were dealt.

ME ME ME Almost the same story...lol. I've been with my boyfriend a little over 3 years and like you this pregnancy wasn't planned but a nice suprise . I'm 19 weeks today.

DMarie congratulations!!!! I will be 19 weeks on Thursday and it feels like I will be preganat FOREVER!!!!! I keep marking off the weeks and yet I feel like I am not getting any closer to the end - LOL!

Same here...lol. Honestly if I can just get to 20 weeks when I find out the sex...i'll be happy. Other than that I feel like it has gone pretty fast. I think it's because i'm still in shock that i'm gonna be a mommy soon
