anyone out there...
who transferred an 8-cell embie and got a BFP??
I just went through my first PGD/IVF cycle and RE was a little disappointed with the results.
Here is the quick rundown:
Well, we had ONE UNAFFECTED embie to put back! I was so happy I cried! there is good news and bad news so I have mixed feelings.
6 eggs retrieved 5 fertilized with ICSI 5 biopsied on day 3 PGD results: (here is the good news bad news part) 1 blast stage -- no result 1 morula stage -- no result 1 8 cell -- UNAFFECTED 1 blast stage -- affected 1 little guy who got no result and stopped growing after biopsy
So, we transferred the 8 cell guy, it was 7 cells on biopsy day, and 8 on transfer day so it grew 2 cells. Dr was happy it grew he said that was a good sign, but all in all he was disappointed with the results. We have a 30% chance of this working, although I think he was going low so as to not get my hopes up.
we hope to freeze the two strong growing "no result" embies and retest them at some point -- maybe if a cycle 2 is necessary.
All in all, I am trying to stay positive as I was pregnant before and lost the pregnancy, and that one wasn't healthy. Any reassurance?

Re: anyone out there...
Well I just had 2 grade one eggs transfered.. 1 was 8cell and the other was 7 on day 3.. I got a BFP on 8dpt.. I find out tomorrow how many sacs.. Best of luck.. Were you tested for immune issues.. or anything else..
I did 2 prior IVF ist one w/pgd.. I also got one good one and it never took..
2nd IVF no PGD.. I had 3 eggs nothing took..
I believe the difference is this time I am being treated for issues I didnt know I had.. I wish I didnt waste 2 IVF cycles out of pocket before I found out..
