Anyone NOT have sex...
before the first ultrasound?
I just heard about this and don't know how true this is.
I left a message for my RE but in the meantime, i'm curious.
Is it safe to have sex while in your first trimester? or even before you have your first or second ultrasound?

Absolutely! You shouldnt stop having sex unless there is a medical reason. I didnt have sex much during my pregnancy only because Im paronoid but there is no proof that having sex during pregnancy is bad. In fact, doctors encourage it.

Its safe BUT many RE will tell you no until first sono.
Most OB's will not tell you this. It is usually only for RE patients that have gone though IVF.

The PA we met with when we first got blood work done at five weeks told us to hold off, not because it was dangerous to the baby, but because it could cause bleeding and give us a scare. We ended up not being able to hold off for very long, I never bled and everything was fine.
When we met with the OB at the 8-week sono, she said there was absolutely no reason not to have sex.

i read it was safe. DH and i did not do it for 4 days...did it last night and i slept like a baby 
if it helps me sleep we may do it nightly!

this. i've been on pelvic rest since 6wks due to bleeding, really hoping the dr. takes me off tomorrow! i'm 12w5d - it's been a loooooooong almost 7 wks!

We haven't. I know that it's safe but just haven't felt up to it and I am ultra paranoid because we had a loss last fall.
I really have no desire based on feeling sick all day and so fatigued at night. Hopefully that will change soon.
