Anyone not getting a bedding set?
It seems like a waste to me. If you can't use the bumpers or the blanket then what's the point or am I missing something? The diaper stacker is cute but I don't know that I'll use it.
I'm thinking about just getting sheets and breathable bumpers. Anyone else?

I don't think I am. More because I can't find anything I like...
I don't want to use bumpers so I will probably just get crib sheets and maybe a dust ruffle thing. Not sure about the dust ruffle either...

Me.
I had one for DD but like you said, I never used most of it. The bumpers and the blanket we too dangerous IMO. I used the bed skirt and the sheet but that's it.
With the next, I'll just buy the bed skirt and sheets again, much cheaper than spending $300 again.

I just returned one I registered for that my aunt had already bought for some of the reasons mentioned (and other reasons having to do with color matching).
I ordered a winnie the pooh set myself from the Disney store and used Disney reawrds - so in essence, it was free. The sheet is cute and I don't expect to use the blanket any time soon and haven't totally decided about the bumpers.
I ended up just adding a bunch of different sheets to my registry after I returned the first set.

I am... because when DS is ready to go into his crib.. I will use the comforter as a wall hanging.... and I wont have to remove the bumpers until he is able to really move from side to side around the crib!

you may not use the bumper at first but you will want it later on .
I used bumper from 6 months on.
BUT, i never used bed skirt or anythign else and i never bought betting. I just bought 2 sheets and a bumper.

I did with DS; the waste was the blanket but he's had the bumpers in from day 1 and still does at 15 mos.
This time around I'm buying the bumper only (real bumper) and sheets.

Not necessarily-it depends on where she lands on the whole bumper issue. I never used them, just the breathable ones.

I do the bumper thing...but I'm not getting a full set, only the bumpers and sheet. The skirt I can do with out. It looks sloppy anyway when you have to lower the matress once the baby is moe mobile.

im not, i kinda feel like its a waste - and most are SO expensive! we're just putting fitted sheets and a carter's bumper on the registry. i dont feel like there's a need for the comforter

it is still a bumper. My dd did get stuck in the slats so i put up a bumper, breathable or regular we put it up for the same purpose.
