Anyone NOT get the flu shot?

I didn't Bc I've never gotten one before and my dr never even mentioned it. I'm trying to do all the right things, wash my hands, disinfect, eat lots of fruits and veggies. Still a little nervous. Anyone else in the same boat?

I am. Same here - never got in and dr never mentioned it. I am petrified of needles, so I never brought it up.

I havent gotten it. My OB suggested it but I never got the flu shot before and only had the flu once over 10 years ago. I rarely leave the house bc I'm 35 weeks and on bedrest anyway and DS got his shot. I make DH use purell and change his clothes, wash his hands as soon as he gets home.

I got one, as did DH. I always get them and never had any side effects. Any reason why you wouldn't get it? It's particularly dangerous to pregnant women. And, I'm watching the news now and they just had a story about how this is a terrible flu season and if you haven't gotten the vaccine, to get one now.

I am usually not one to push vaccines BUT the flu shot is very important while pregnant...my doctor went over the many reasons why pregnant women of all people should get it. I would go and get it now if you can, the flu this year is NASTY..

Also...the baby gets some protection for next year by you receiving the vaccine. I found that interesting. Especially helpful since they can't receive the vaccine if they're under 6 months

I didn't get the flu shot with DS nor did I get it this time around. I had HORRIBLE reactions when I got it years ago and it honestly scared me off from getting it ever again.

Me. I never actually never had the flu shot and I haven't had the flu since I was a kid buuuuuuut I was going to get it now since I am pregnant however, up until last week I had basically been sick off and on since Sept.

Never got one! Dr. Never mentioned it so I didn't think it was a big deal.

This is the first year I didn't get it and not for any other reason than any time I make an appointment at my doctor's office something has come up and I couldn't go (I literally rescheduled 6 times) I tried a few walk in places but some didn't carry the preservative free and the Walgreens by me was out of them the last time I stopped in...

I am nervous but so far so good... I probably just jinxed myself.

I was going to but I asked my OB about it and he said that my peri would tell me no. I got it in the hospital at discharge.

I didn't. I heard the flu is terrible this year, but **knock on wood** I havent had the flu, and of course I know someone who had the worst reaction and now has this disease, that I can't remember the name of, and she can't walk or anything! I am in the boat if it's not broke, don't fix it, but the news scared me and now I am second guessing, my OB never said anything about it
