Anyone not circumcise DS immediately?

Not in the hospital or at a bris.

The Dr. did not want to circumcise DS when he was born because he was so small, so now we have to do it as an outpatient procedure when he is 6 months old.

just wondering if anyone else had to do this with their DS and how did it go, what can I expect afterward etc etc.

My doctor did not want to do it in the hospital and said he usually does it 1-2 weeks at his office..I did not feel comfortable with this so he did it in the hospital..How small is you son?

Same thing happened with us (DS was a preemie) so it was done when he was 6 months old as an outpatient procedure at Stonybrook. WE used Dr. Wasnick and he was great. THe most stressful part was the anasthesia...other than that nothing to worry about. The recovery was fine.

My SIL has twin boys, born very small. one was too small and had to wait for the circ, she decided against it bc of the anestisia so one is Circ and the other isn't

Not me, but my BFF was supposed to have her DS in a birth center that didn't do them (she ended up having him in a hospital) but her ped had to do it when he was like 6 weeks (I am pretty sure) and she wasn't too thrilled about it.
