I'm from TX...lived there 23 years, and still have many friends and family all over the state.

Now you're in NY?? Did you like it?? We're having a home built and i'm excited but super sad to leave NY. But bigger houses, cheaper living! =)

Two of my cousins live in TX. One just moved with her DH a few years ago after living in NY her entire life (38 years!). She loves it! They have an amazing house with an awesome inground pool! She's about 5 minutes from her best friend (who has lived in TX for about 20 years) and 10 minutes from her job. She used to commute into Queens which took about an hour so she loves her new "commute".

I live in Northern VA now.
I liked growing up and going to college in TX. I grew up outside of Houston but my Dad now lives outside of Dallas. I've spent a lot of time in all the major cities, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin. I would only go back to the Austin area if I was going to move back to TX. The different parts of TX really vary in weather and landscape.
