n/m we're in 26- sorry!
27 is eastern queens/ozone park area I think.

You've got the Rockaways, Ozone Park, and parts of Jamaica in district 27. (I know a little about the high schools in the area; FM me for reviews). You're not restricted to the schools in your district in NYC. I work in a district in Queens, and my kids come from all over the borough!

In Queens your kids can apply to get into other public schools. You're not restricted to the district you live in.

I grew up in district 27 and my mom was a 1st grade teacher in the district for 25 years. IMO...the area has changed and not for the better....that's the AREA, so I assume the SD as well...
I beleive SD 26 is the best in the city.

I would pass. I grew up in District 26 and would only consider sending my kids to schools in this area. I also sold my house in District 28 because I didn't like the schools.
