Anyone know anything about Ozanam Hall of Queens Nursing Home

FM me...I have access to information to Adult Care Facilities in NYS via the Department of health. It is public information, but rather than have you navigate the system on line, I can direct you where to go!

I used to volunteer there in high school. That was a really long time ago, but it was a decent facility and the patients were treated very well.

My grandmother was there years ago. (She passed away more than 15 years ago, so it was a while back.)
I never remember my parents or aunts/uncles have any issues with them. I can ask my mom about it. Of course, this is a while ago, so maybe things have changed. I know my grandmother was treated very nicely.

My Grandmother was sent there after she feel and broke her hip – the rehab was great but since grandma had dementia and it got worse after the hip replacement, we felt she need to stay in the nursing home and Ozanam would not keep her saying she didn’t need in their terms “skilled nursing care”. SO they basically kicked her out……
We moved her to Beneson Nursing Home in Flushing and they were AMAZING to her. She was put on a floor where they could treat her dementia and cater to her needs. Unfortunately she developed cancer and passed away a little over two years ago but Beneson took great care of her.
Ozanam was great for the rehab but now they have a “bad taste” with our family because they would not accept my grandmother into the nursing home

See with us they had no room in the rehab part so we have to wait until she is done with the rehab in another place and try and get her in there.

DH's grandmother was there over the summer. She actually requested to go there. DH's aunt is a nurse and also wanted her to go there. His grandmother had really good experiences and is now home and walking around.
