Anyone interested in offering a little design help?
So...my downstairs (diningroom/livingroom open floor plan) desperately needs curtains. We have VERY tall windows and a huge sliding glass door, as well as a huge window in the livingroom.
This is what the breakfast bar in the livingroom looks like- notice the wall along the breakfast bar is a celadon color, while the wall in the livingroom is a creme color
here's the large window on the left and the sliding glass doors on right
dining room (see that tall window?) - walls are same color in living room

For the tall windows in living room- would you get panels? Or just scarves? Previous owner had these funky valances....
What kind of style/color would you go for? We have huge black leather couches (which I hate) so i definitely want something bright. Dining room furniture is a dark wood. I should've taken pics of furniture in the room but I haven't gotten around to that. I'll try that this weekend!
TIA!!!

hard to tell from the pics but doesn't look like there is enough room on either side of the tall window in the LR for panels. hmm, maybe a valance on the tall windows (LR & DR) and panels w/ sheers on the sliding doors.
style possibilities are endless and very personal. i prefer warm and "clubby" (stripes and plaid), while others prefer traditional (floral) and others modern (stearmlined and/or funky patterns). w/o furniture and just bare walls it is hard to suggest a style. def post more pics when you can.

I would personally do floor length panels. I personally dont really care for scarves, I like a more streamlined, less frilly look. Maybe in a pale blue color, I always think blue with dark wood looks nice.

I love blue- but one can tell that throughout my house. My bedding is blue...my dishes are blue...my bathroom set is blue. I'm thinking I gotta cool it on the blue.
Which colors do you think would work best with the walls and my dark furniture?
Thanks!!!
