Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
The only thing I'm not happy with is the basket. It's a fraction the size of the snap and go basket. Other than that, DD loves it since she can see much more than when she's in the carseat and she prefers to sit upright. We haven't used it a ton, but will probably fully make the switch after the winter when she's into the convertible carseat.

Re: Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
I have it and like it - though it's huge in the trunk of my car!
Granted - I rarely need my stroller - so it just seems to take up space needlessly.....but it really is big.
I got a Chicco a few months back to travel to FL with, and have since retired the City Mini to my basement. Now that DS is 19 months old, I can imagine that I may never use it again. Keeping the Chicco in my trunk is way more space efficient for me and the few occasions when I need it.

dislike: basket space and hard to access - it's a PIA, especially if you're used to the snap n go which has a lot of space and is easy to access doesnt sit completely upright can't lift up leg part, so legs dangle -- so even though the back goes completely flat so baby can lie down, the leg part doesnt lift, so they dangle while whe is lying down (I dont know if all carriages are like this though) doesnt stand when you fold it looks like shade cover (When not open) might be in the way of DD's head when she gets taller- not sure though Some carriages are expandable to fit a second baby (not sure I like the configurations of those carriages, so not really an issue for me). City mini is not expandable except for the glider board.
Like: nice smooth ride easy one hand fold i like the "windows" in the shade cover so you can see baby shade cover keeps the baby well covered from the sun
Overall, I like the carriage. The smooth ride and easy fold are great features and outweigh the cons.

I was going to get the City Mini but decided to go with the Maclaren Techno XLR. I liked that the Maclaren seat laid flat and sat completely upright, the basket was a little bigger, it is lightweight and folds like an umbrella. The sun shade is also a lot bigger than the City Mini.
The City Mini model did not lay flat or sit completely upright, was heavy and folded in half which takes up a lot of space in your trunk and can be a hassle to travel with because of how it folds.
My advice it to go to BBB and check out all of the strollers and compare the features.

The only thing i dont like about it is that I find the straps annoying to adjust. Other than that, I like it. Oh, and mine does stand up when its folded, I have the GT, not sure if it thats why

Ditto the gripe about the basket. It's not even so much the size of the basket, but that it's very inaccessible.

I don't have one, but my SIL does and I have used it for DD occasionally. My complaints would also be the basket and that you can't adjust the foot rest.

My only complaint is that the basket is really sucky...I like how easy it is to fold and fits nicely in our car, easy to maneuver , etc...

Re: Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
I purchased the City Mini for my parents to use when they have DD.
The basket is beyond horrible. Way too small and so hard to access. The other thing that I kind of dislike is that even when fully 'up' the seat back is still somewhat reclined, which DD gets annoyed with (sometimes).
What I love about the stroller is that it is so easy to fold and that the sun canopy is amazing.

Re: Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
Aghh, it is so upsetting that the basket is small, the foot thing doesn't adjust and it doesn't go all the way up. These are all very good reasons for me NOT to buy the stroller. But This is the only stroller I see that is within our budget and gets mostly good reviews. I can not afford anything that costs more than $300 max . Plus I would still have to buy some accessories for most strollers, including mini. I don't know what to do, I keep researching but can't find anything ! So stressed about this, because I REALLY need to buy a stroller soon, DS is getting too heavy for an infant car seat /snap and go.

I don't have a problem with anything. I don't know what else I would ever have to fit int he basket.....beyond big enough for me. I am not a take the world with me when I go so maybe thats it. I took it to FL and loved it.

I really love how easy it maneuvers, folds, etc. Yes, the basket is small, but I have a mom hook I can hang things from it I need to. Not a big deal.

Re: Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
I don't like it. It's lightweight and so easy to get in and out of the trunk of your car, but DD is so uncomfortable in it.
My main complaint is that the straps are ridiculously hard to make bigger or smaller, and they never sit right. She's always uncomfortably slouched. The basket is very small and really hard to get things in and out of (my diaper bag doesn't fit under there).

Re: Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
Tried it out at the store and bought bc i didn't think there was anything better, but didn't love it. Before I used it outside I discovered the Britax B-Agile and I loved it! Returned the Citi Mini.

I have the GT and absolutely love it. I don't overanalyze strollers, though, so all the little things others complain about I just don't think about.

Re: Anyone here NOT happy with city mini ? Why?
I have the first version, and it wouldn't go fully upright. I put really stiff boards in the back (now they actuallly sell them.) It worked great, like a bramd new stroller.
What is everyone trying to put in these baskets? I have never had a problem with the basket being small. I can fit what I need in there. Everyone seems to have that complaint.
