Our washer works okay until we put one of our larger comforters in, then water comes out the bottom! Not from the wall, but just from the washer.

I don't know if the problem has been there or if its recent because the washer used to be in the unfinished basement so I couldn't tell....now its on the 1st floor and I see water only w/this one comforter. Maybe not wash this one comforter in the washer cause its too big? (and take it to the cleaners?)

should we do that, get someone to fix the washer or buy a new washer?

Is it a down comforter?

We put it on medium instead of large (load size) and that helps!

Re: Anyone have this problem with their washer?

this happened to us, but with reallly thick and big curtains, i put the laundry in and we left for the whole day. we came back at night and our entire basement was flooded 5 inches Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon turns out that it got jammed on the rinse cycle (i believe) now i put on these sensors on the water lines that if something jams or there is flooding the water turns offf automatically.
what you can do, you can take it to your local laundromat and wash it there they have those reallllly huge washers that will fit anything, if you take it to the dry cleaners a comforter alone will probably run you around $30-$40.
