Anyone have the answer to this?
How long does Menopur and Bravelle stay in your system once you finish your shots?
I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I just want to know that anything I might feel in the 2WW is from possible pregnancy and not from being hopped up on fertility meds.
My Ovidrel shot was last Thursday afternoon and my last dose of Bravelle and Menopur were that same Thursday in the morning. I actually took a HPT yesterday just to check and see if the hcG shot was out of my system and the test came back negative so that's good.
I'm noticing points throughout the day where I have a lot of clear CM and I'm just wondering if that could mean anything or if it's from all the fertility meds I took. The acute pain from my ovaries being enlarged subsided Monday night but since then my whole abdomen is tender and everything "feels heavy" down there. So again, is that due to the overstimulation, the meds, or possible impending pregnancy.
I know I am probably looking too much into this but you know the drill in the 2WW.............you just can't help yourself!

Re: Anyone have the answer to this?
are you on P4?? P4 is evil and it will give you pregnancy symptoms....
Also the drugs stay in your body for a while until your E2 drops (which is usually when AF comes)...and if your are pregnant, it will stay elevated....very hard to distinguish real pregnancy symptoms from the effects of the drugs!!!
Try not to analyze!!!! GL!!!!!

Re: Anyone have the answer to this?
Thanks! Since I don't know what P4 is, I'm going to say, no, I am not on it.
The only thing I am taking right now is my Metformin, which I've been on forever! Other than that, I've taken nothing. That's crazy it takes so long to drop, geez..........that is really going to mess with my head now!

P4 = progesterone..lol
weird you are not on any progesterone suppositories (especially that you were on a medicated cycle)...hmm...
anyway...your body went thru a "shock" lol..with all the meds so I would just tell you not to analyze anything..
I did 5 IVFs and each cycle I thought for sure I was preggo since I had all these crazy symptoms (thanks to those meds and PIOs lol)...the only successful cycle I had I had the least symptoms....go figure....

Thx for the info. I actually have a progesterone test on Friday. Given my history I will probably be on progesterone supplements at that time.

Re: Anyone have the answer to this?
I agree with not analyzing anything (MUCH easier said than done!). There's really no telling what effects the drugs have done and now with the pain you're experiencing, it only compounds it.
That was actually what I think is quite nice about going thru IF treatments, all the thought is taken out of it- you let the doctors worry about when you're going to O, timing the IUI and you really can't tell if the symptoms are medication or pregnancy induced, so there's no point in reading into them!

Honestly, in a medicated cycle of ANY kind, I don't think it's a good idea to read into anything....

I probably should wait until at least Wed but we will see if I can hold out. *Technically* I am only 5DPIUI.
