Anyone have multiple IUI/IVF BFNs but BFP with immunological treatments?

Hi ladies. Just trying to get some info. Anyone out there had multiple BFNs with TI, IUI, & IVF with a diagnosis of unexplained IF; but then got immunological testing and treatment which resulted in a BFP? So many stories I know there are a few ladies, I just can't remember who.

What was your treatment plan? What kind of meds? Any supplements? Change in diet? What testing did they do? What was abnormal?

Anyone have multiple IUI/IVF BFNs but BFP with immunological treatments?

I had multiple bfns, 7 medicated cycles including Clomid, 4 iuis and 2 ivfs. My second ivf was bfp. My re didn't believe in immune testing when I brought it up after the first ivf didn't work. We were also unexplained but after the first ivf he knew it was embryo quality. I was put on metformin and dh on Clomid. It drastically increased our quality and I transferred a 6aa and 6ab.

My RE doesn't believe in immunological testing either. We transferred 2 expanding blasts ABs and 1 morula. I keep asking him, "what if my body is attacking the embryo?" He doesn't even believe it's possible. I have high thyroid antibodies and he doesn't believe that can cause implantation issues either. But there is SOMETHING going on.

Maybe your RE should meet me. Id love to show him my file folder worth of 6 failed ivfs, multiple miscarriages, multiple chemicals, and every relevant, appropriate test to find out why? I have high quality embryos, no chromosomal issues to cause miscarriage or implantation failure. Actually, It's quite possible that i did meet with him, i consulted with numerous drs after my 4th ivf. Maybe he was one of the ones that turned me away, or said he couldnt help me further?
I do have severe immune issues. It's real. It's possible. It boggles my mind that an RE doesn't "believe" in current research. Actually if you look up Dr. Beer, Dr. Sher or Dr. Kwak Kim, they were some of the pioneers in the field, before Dr.B or Drs at SIRM.

Listen to your gut and trust your instincts. It's your body. No one knows it better than you.. I also knew there was SOMETHING going on. Do what you feel is right.

This. In your gut you know something. Get a second opinion. You dint want to keep going through the shots, procedures, money or insurance coverage when something needs to change.

Re: Anyone have multiple IUI/IVF BFNs but BFP with immunological treatments?

This is similar to my story, but not exact. I've had known autoimmune issues since childhood. Was always told it wouldn't matter with getting PG. After trying for a while DH was Dx with MFI so we assumed that was why it wasn't working. After three failed IVFs (Two fresh, one frozen) we went on an aggressive autoimmune treatment (with a doc who does NOT specialize but believed in my story) including prednisone/lovenox prior to and post transfer, PIO & Endometrin. Etc. I am currently 18 weeks.

I'm not saying it should be so easy for everyone to find a doc who will do this - like I said I have known issues and two decades worth of medical files confirming the issues. Had I not had this, I don't know how much they (or even I) would have pursued this route. That said....

I agree with the PP - be your own advocate. No one knows your body like you.

I have to agree here. This is why i left RSNY to go to SIRM and i couldn't be happier....go with your gut!
