anyone have $$ ina CD and if so what bank
I looked at that option today as my $$ is just sitting. I want do to more so aside from giving more $ to my stock guy to work with I was thinking of a CD. short term as I need the $$ in the next year.
I need other options for my money to grow?
PS federal credit had the best rate from what I can tell

Ask your stock guy about CD's offered by financial institutions other than banks. They pay better interest rates. Just make sure they are FDIC insured.
DH rolled his 401K into other things, some of which were these CD's. We chose different terms so that the funds are liquid in case we need them. With our financial adviser's help, we bought two from American Express Centurion Bank, one from Goldman Sachs. Can't remember the rest.
