Anyone have any experience with year round school?
Either as a student or teacher? Or a parent of a student.

If it helps most special ed programs are twelve month programs. Which is a six week summer so its technically not year round. But I do work this schedule.

Tara, not me personally, but I have a friend in NC whose children go year round & she loves it. It was a lottery system & she got in. They are in 3rd & 5th. They go for 6-7 weeks & then are off for 2 weeks, year round. She really likes it. There is also no summer lag w/ learning b/c it's only 2 weeks at a time during which they have work to complete.
I'm not sure, but I think maybe the last break b4 they start the next grade MAY be 3 weeks, not 2.
