Anyone have any experience with cortorizing (sp?) of the belly button?
Just wondering what I, actually Lola, might be in for?

DS didn't even flinch. I did, he slept through it. It will get black and our Ped said to clean around it with some alcohol pads. He black belly button has just now gone away. He is 9 mos.

They did this with my second baby. All they did was swipe it with a q-tip and that was it!

The doc had to do it for DS2. He didn't even flinch! It was just like a q-tip with stuff on it. It looks bad for a while but eventually it will "heal"

They had to do that with jacen too. It was no big deal at all.
His belly button also was black for a little while (just the inside kind of). Once a week we took a qtip with rubbing alcohol and tried to clean it. The black came off shortly later...

It was totally nothing. The black went away within a few weeks IRC. Her stump had fallen off and looked all yuck, so the PED cauterized it.

Ryan didn't have it cortorized. But I did have part of my incision cortorized. You don't even feel a thing!
