Anyone have an ING?

Is it your primary savings?

Did you start it using the $25. mail in things?

Do you like it?

Is it trustworthy?

Re: Anyone have an ING?

i have ING as my primary savings and yes, i got the $25 after having it open a certain number of days.

for the most part, i am happy with it. but i am considering switching b/c you don't have instant access to your $ and i've noticed other banks are offering higher APRs.

Re: Anyone have an ING?

I just signed up for one a few months ago. I made an initial depost of $50 by mailing in the paperwork with a check. It is reliable and trustworthy. I even have it set up for direct deposit. It has a great interest rate. So far pretty good!

Re: Anyone have an ING?

I've had one for about 2 years. We have a couple of savings accounts; I don't consider ING my "primary" as in "go-to for emergencies," but it's my primary as in the largest chunk of our money is in it, and it doesn't get touched. I think I started it electronically; someone who already had one e-mailed me info on it & they got a bonus & so did I ($25) when I started it up. The interest really adds up. I like it.

Ditto, only I've had mine for years.

They used to be slower with money transfers, but now it's a 2-3 day max wait for it to get into another account if you need it.

Re: Anyone have an ING?

We've had our ING since April and I'm really liking it. I set the whole thing up electronically with no problems - someone referred me so we both got the bonus.

And yes, ING does give you interest monthly. You cn log on and find out how much interest you made that day even!

Re: Anyone have an ING?

We started it when planning for the wedding so we could make some good money on interest.

Yes, the interest is applied every month.

Now it's the house fund. Although it's the only savings account we have, we don't touch the money in there. So transferring in and out is not an issue.

They have a checking account too but they don't give you a checkbook so I don't like that idea too much.

Re: Anyone have an ING?

We have one in the UK, but have our money in the US in a CD. I move money over every month and very rarely touch it, whcih I like. I think if it was a more flexible account, I might be tempted to dip in more often.

Everything is web-based so you can check your balance online. I love seeing the interest applied every month - £50 (~$100) each month is not a small chunk of change to accrue in interest, it makes a difference pretty fast!) makes you really feel like you're money is doing something in there!
