Anyone have a stone deck

We are thinking of doing a 2 level stone deck off our dining room and kitchen. Its a split level home so we would need to build up the top level. Any recommendations or pics?

Re: Anyone have a stone deck

I have travertine around my pool and had considered doing the entire patio in travertine but was advised against it being that it would get extremely slippery.. so instead I did a beautiful pea gravel and then used the travertine around the pool and as the lip for the step Chat Icon

travertine, slippery? What kind did you use? Why would you use it around a pool if it was slippery?

We have a travertine patio and we specifically picked it because it wasn't slippery. It's one of the reasons why travertine is used around pools, along with the fact that it doesn't retain heat.
