anyone have a room that is part tile/part carpet

if so can you please post pictures and your experience with installation... I maybe want to do this in my den. The left side has the door to the basement, the laundry room, garage door, etc so I wanted to put tiles on the part and carpet where the couches will be..

My ILS have a tile area when you first walk into their home. It's maybe 4 x 3 ft.

Carpet surrounds it... Nothing separates them - it just meets.

In my home we have carpet meet tile on my bottom floor.

No pics but it looks great.

Did you use any sort of saddle to ease the transition???

Sorry no pics, but in my downstairs room I have a tile walkway to the door and the rest is carpet. I don't have a saddle or anything, and, IMO, it does look a little unfinished. But its definitely liveable!

my parents have this, tile at the entryway and by the garge/laundry room and then in the kitchen. no pics, sorry, but it's just carpet and tile, I think. Never any issues

Ok since you are begging I just took two pictures. Chat Icon

I had carpet and tile installed in my new extension.

Here is where the carpet meets the tile for the foyer. Any GOOD carpet installer can pull the carpet right up to the tile line and make a perfect seam and you won't see any gap. Make sure you have your tile installed before the carpet.

Here is where the carpet meets my laminate for my kitchen. I needed a saddle for a few reasons. Number one this is the side of the laminate where a wall was so the ends of the planks are "jagged". This was covered by base moulding before I blew this hole out. Also used the saddle since I bought it to match the laminate.

You're the best! Thank you so much! I love the color of your tiles and carpet... do you remember where you got them and the colors? I appreciate you taking the time to take pictures!
