Anyone have a crib from IKEA?
We are looking to get an inexpensive crib for DC #2 as I don't want to move DS out of his right away. Do they hold up well or would I be better off buying a used more expensive crib??

I have a daycare and we have an Ikea crin in there...It has worked great . no complaints at all !

I have one. I currently have 3 cribs (one for my 17 month old, the ikea one and a hand me down for the twins).
Its fine. The side doesnt go down. You can't beat the quality for the price.
If you do get one, consider getting the mattress from ikea too. You want to be sure the mattress fits like a glove.

I have an Ikea crib in my bedroom. We use it as a PnP when our son is watching TV. It is actually really good! My husband threw a fit when he saw the price compared to my son's normal crib.

i dont have an ikea crib but we bought our crib on sale from JCPenny for only $250. The quality is GREAT. Just another option for you to check out.

I will never buy any furniture from IKEA ever again. DH bought a dresser and something else there and had fallen apart mere months after it was purchased. their customer service blows. They're good for decor items..furniture..i'd stay far away.
when we moved, the moving company had special forms to sign if any of the furniture was from IKEA b/c it falls apart and doesnt hold up. They specifically asked if we had IKEA items and what they were before they started moving anything so they could document what the pieces were.

I don't have a crib, but I have a few pieces from there and they have held up well almost 10 yrs later. One entertainment center has survived 2 moves without any issues.
