Anyone had really bad dizziness?

So this morning I woke up before my alarm and I was so incredibly dizzy. When I got up, I was literally bumping into furniture, it was that bad. I tried laying down for an hour and it didn't help so I called in to work that I'd be late.

I slept for about 2 hours and when I woke up, I felt better enough to come in to work, but I still feel "off." I called my OB and she said if I don't feel better by tomorrow to call her and I will have to go in to the hospital.

Being that I had really bad pre-eclampsia with my DS, I'm nervous. I'm almost 14 weeks so it's super early for pre-e since it usually doesn't present until after 20 weeks.

Has anyone had really bad dizziness like this? Do you know what caused it? My friend said she had it because she wasn't eating any protein, but I do eat protein every day. She also said her BFF had it because of blood pressure issues, which scares me, again because of my pre-e history. Of course I'll defer to my doctor, but just curious if anyone else experienced this and what happened.

This happened to me in my second trimeser. I read this is when it usually happens.

For me, I thought it was either dehydration or low iron (anemia).

I noticed I felt better after eating. I ate more foods with iron (oatmeal, raisins, cereal) and drank plenty of fluids and my dizziness got better almost right away and was pretty much gone within a week or two.

I have had this right after getting up as well. Bumping into furniture, almost toppling over, etc. It only happened twice so I haven't mentioned it to my doc.

i have had dizzy spells on and off for the past 2 weeks... more lightheadedness than anything. went to L&D the first time it happened and everything was fine, told me to stay hydrated (duh).

Thanks guys. I'm feeling better today (not 100%, but much better) so I guess it was just a passing thing. I have my next appointment next week so I'll be sure to ask her more about it then.
