Anyone get an extremely long period after giving birth?
It is now going on day 10 of my period. I have had two cycles like this, full bleeding the whole time. I am soooo sleepy, lethargic and moody. Is this normal, anyone else experience this? I have an appt with my OB next month. Should I try to get a sooner one?

I'm sorry, I'm no help b/c AF hasn't arrived yet but I'm sure it's your body just trying to get back to normal. Maybe give the OB a call though.

Mine was weird--not extremely long, but I had one that was light and lasted about 5 days, then 2 or 3 days in between, then another that lasted a week and was heavy. I thought I was developing PPD--very moody, bloated, and weepy, but I think it was PMS since I'm fine now.
My doctor said it was normal to have odd AFs right after giving birth--long, short, close together, etc. If you are concerned though, or if you are bleeding very heavily, you may want to call your dr.

I just got AF back at 10 months PP and they have all been longer & heavier than ususal.

yes, I had my period once for 25 plus days, I went to the OB and it turns out, I had a cyst on my ovary..

mine was 10+ days and it was so heavy that I actually called the doctor because I was getting nervous that it was never going to slow down.

The first time I got it after giving birth, it was 11 days and annoyingly heavy. But I figured my body was adjusting. The second time I got it, it lasted for 2 months. TWO MONTHS! So I went to the doctor and started BCP to regulate it. Not fun!

Thanks ladies. I have been taking BC for about 2 months, I thought I'd just go back to normal like I did after Roman. I'll mention it to the dr. next month.

After the birth of my third I had it for about 14 days....not sure if having a tubal had anything to do with it, but my ob just told me to take it easy and eventually it got better.
