anyone experience this???
i do not normally post on here, but wanted to see if there was anyone out there who has been thru this situation- Long story short, my husband had cancer when he was in his teens, and unfortunately he did not freeze any sperm. we have been TTC for about 6 months now and nothing. My husband decided to go to the Urlogist and get himself checked out. His results came back this week, He is below the average count for Testerone (not a huge issue)and his sperm count is 0. The Urlogist suggested for him to see a specialist and possible under go a testicle biopsy. This procedure will remove the sperm prior to the release into the testicle. At this point, they can test the sperm and see if it works. There is a very small possibility they would swim do to his Chemo.
So now we made an appointment to see a fertility doctor.. We are going to see what they have to say- and hear what his chances with his sperm and what our next step is prior to him getting a testicle biopsy.
Unfortunately, we are both at the stage of the game, where we know we will need a sperm donor and hopefully i will be able to carry our baby, Has anyone been through this? or can give any hope?

My BFF is in this situation. Her DH is seeing a specialist at NYU. He was able to take a new experimental drug and went from zero to a good number sperm count. He froze his sperm. I can find out the doctors name if you'd like.
