Anyone ever totally unproductive during nap time?
I have been such a slacker today.  DD is still sleeping (going on 3 hours   ) and I have done nothing but mess around online. I haven't cleaned...haven't figured out what we are going to have for dinner and haven't done 1 load of wash.  I am soo going to regret this!

DD has given up napping recently but when she was still a newborn and taking 2.5 hour naps all I would want to do is sit on the couch and veg while watching tv... like pp said above, it was my "me" time

I think my lunch, snack, internet surfing and my own 1.5 hour nap were very productive! As soon as I heard DS wiggling around in his crib, I ran down a started a load of laundry! (Oh and this is what I do EVERYDAY!!!) Don't tell anyone!

Totally have been there. You need to just veg every once and a while! Enjoy it! Reilly will nap for 3 hours and I find sometimes that I've been online that whole time!

Me! My DS naps about 3 hours every afternoon ( we are lucky).
Before I got pregnant- I was very productive during this time. Now- not so much. There is a lot of online browsing, napping, and TV watching going on here.
I console myself with the fact that I am allowed to "rest up" now. When #2 comes, I have a feeling these afternoons will either be few or non-existent.

yep, i wasted time online, cleaned up a mess the dogs made  ....looked at some catalogs.....and now dd is up, im tired and still have a paper to finish writing

Yes. I am often not productive. We are usually up at 6am and I have 2 kids and usually a friend or two over until DD goes to school at 1pm. When DS goes for his nap I take time to relax and regroup. I'll do a quick clean up and sometimes throw laundry in but that's about it. I need some mid day me time.

ohh man! i never got that memo that i was supposed to get things done when she actually naps!  i was under the impression that its mommys play time when baby naps! no wonder my apt looks like abomb hit it and dh is cranky when he gets home! I can honestly say today is the frist day in MONTHS that dd took 2 2hr naps. and i haent done a darn thing!

Oh yeah. I've had plenty of days like this. I find if I make a to do list prior to the nap I get some stuff done.
Don't regret it at all. We all have days like this and frankly, need it sometimes. Go have a cup of tea or a glass of water. Make a to do list for the rest of the day (keep it very reasonable). Make tomorrow a new day and give yourself time to relax as well as time to get stuff done.
