Anyone ever take Prednisone / Methylprednisolone / Medrol during preg?

I've been having severe break outs covering my entire chest for the last few weeks. Itchy at times and hot. Small and large bumps, but not white heads like you can pop. Gross.

They seem to be subcutaneous, but still raised and very red. I tried OTC everything, astringent, mild soap, keeping the area cool/dry, powder, cortisone cream, benadryl etc.

I've noticed it getting worse, so I called the OB today, and she said to come in. She doesnt seem to think its acne, but she is not 100% sure. She said it almost seems like a rash with some sporadic acne.

So, she Rx'd: Methylprednisolone tablets.

DH knows the pharmacist, and she knows I am pregnant (15 weeks). She was concerned my OB rx'd this, and told DH this is not safe for pregnant women to take. So, the pharmacist called my OB's office, and the Dr 'was outraged' saying he Rx's this all the time to pregnant women and the pharmacist was 'out of line' to question him, he knows best.

I see it's classified as a category C drug. Just wondering if any of you ladies have taken this during your pregnancy? I am a little nervous now.

I have taken medrol before but not while prego. Actually my docter took me off it when i got prego. I dont know if its safe or not but i wouldnt take it if the pharmacist thinks it can be harmful. I would call ur docter n tell him ur not comfiterable taking it & if there is nething else he can perscribe.

I took medrol as part of my IVF cycle, so it can't be THAT dangerous.
