We were going to but then after we got the price we saw it was cheaper to buy the lowest model one.
I think it really is in 8 hour increments, not a full 24 hours. We knew we would need it for more than 8 hours so it just wasn't worth it. This way we could do it slowly and our time instead of rushing and ruining all the tile just to get it back in time.

ITA. It's really not much more to buy it. I know people who thought they would only need a tile saw for one day and rented it for one day. They ended up needing it for one day longer because they had little experience tiling. It worked out costing them more to rent for two days than it would have cost them just to buy it.

Wet tile saw from HD
$88 for a "lifetime rental"....
I actually just got a dry tile blade for my circular saw when I did my bathroom floor. I did one tile at a time, so there was plenty of time between cuts for the blade to cool down. Worked out great for me, and I saved a lot of $$ by just getting the blade.

I have a tool rental price sheet. Are you still looking for prices?

We rented one of the wood floor nail machines (I have no clue what the technical term is ), but it was worth it in our case because sometimes when you buy a tool, you may never need it again and it just collects dust or takes up room so sometimes it's better off renting them.

True, but craigslist and ebay are awsome for selling not so used items, that it could be worth it.
