Anyone ever househunt for someone else?
Ok so here's the background: We moved 1600 miles away from all our friends and family almost 2yrs ago. Just recently my brother put in a transfer at his job to my neck of the woods because he wants our kids to grow up together (elated about this!!) and it looks like it is probably going to go through. So I've been househunting online for them and found a few potential houses that they are interested in. Would it be weird to call a realtor and make an appt to see these houses for them to initially check them out?

i think that's great!!!
My brother's gf mentioned they were considering buying a townhome in Conn. I jumped on the net and started looking for them! (I shouldve just taken him down to 47th street already....but that's for another thread...)

Wow, I could never ask someone to do that for me...but the fact that your brother asked you to do this, says so much about how he values your opinion. That is great! As long as you know what he wants, style, price, by you checking it out beforehand it could save him a lot of time. Send him your recommended listings and let him decide from there about which ones he has an interest in. He is lucky that you are eager to help! Good Luck

You might want to bring a camera to show him the good/bad
I think as long as you know what he wants its a good idea to screen for him

Yes I told him we would bring our video camera and do a walking tour. Since they'll be limited to just a long weekend when they do come down here I figure I'd weed out all the houses not worth seeing.
