Anyone ever file a BBB complaint?
I did today but I was wondering what the process was.... Anyone know?

Yes...I did it through the website. I filled out the form, then sent them another email because I couldn't fit all the details in the space they gave me. I had already emailed the business I was complaining about and had given them a few days to respond. I got a reply back from BBB within 1 or 2 days with a complaint number and an assurance that they were working on it. Several days later I heard back from the business I had issues with. They offered me some compensation and I let it go.
I received a follow up email from BBB asking if I was happy and to fill out something that finalized the dispute.

okay, thanks. I filled out the forms online and got a claim # but i was wondering if it will actually "do something" seeing that i couldn't find a complaint about this company and they really screwed up..

I have too. Whether or not it will do something depends on the company. The company that I filed against, had over 50 complaints and did not respond to at least 30 of them. So there was really nothing that they could do for me other than leaving my complaint on record.

I think I know which company you are talking about, and after what they pulled I am glad to see you're taking action about it ...

I filed one and actually got all my money back (unlike some other people). The Attorney General's office actually charges this company with all sorts of things and I had to submit a written statement to them.

After reading your post, I went and checked to see if anyone else had ever filed a complaint about the business (I thought a few other people were going to) and MINE isn't even listed. What a crock.

I did - against Sprint.
someone got back to me within a very short period of time, like a few days. your complaint should get a "case worker" assigned to it and they will act as a mediator. I lost the complaint, but I feel it was handled professionally and I am glad I did it.
the complaint was regarding an early termination fee, which I was fighting.

thanks! I know there are a lot of complaints out there about them, but no one seemed to complain yet, or the same as one of the other posters they didn't do anything. I hope they at the very least put the complaint through so other people will find it. Whats funny is, they were the only vendor i did a bbb search on go figure.

thank you, I hope I do hear something. Its a pretty decent company but its only LI based, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
