That's why I don't give out my cell phone number. Even when I was working. And I leave it turned off all the time unless I'm making a call or if DH is with the kids and he needs to get me. Had to draw the line somewhere.

Hmm, let's see what I've got: Cell Phone Home Phone Work Phone Personal Email Work Email Professional Email Spam Email Work Fax LIW/LIF Forum Mail
It is funny to think how we got along without these things in the past!! And someday our kids will never understand how we survived without a watchamacallit or a othersillylittlething.

Re: Anyone ever feel too accessibe?
I have a lot of methods which people can use to get in touch with me. But it never really bothers me. I just look at it as a fact of life.
I just wonder what our grandkids will be walking around with.

All my phones (home and work) have caller ID, and I can see the sender and topic of any emails before I read them, so even though I am technically "accessible", I can choose not to answer anything....

I just did this Someone has been trying all day to make their "emergency" MY emergency. I did not answer the call just now - call # 6 today. And this call was after I have already explained that this is not something I can handle and gave them the contact name/number of who can help.

Re: Anyone ever feel too accessibe?
Nope. If I dont want to talk it goes to VM and I do this often. I hate phones, I am down to 3 email accts and that is only because I need them. I refuse to turn my phone on during the weekends. I screen all calls in my house. I just am not a talker. Im lucky I amswer the emails I get.

I stupidly gave my boss my cell phone # (actually I don't remember giving it to him but I had to call him about something I had to submit and I might have used my cell to call?). I get a call from him over the weekend a month ago, asking me to do him a favor, run an errand for him the next day. I found out since then that he's done this before to my co-workers. I've never been so happy to have caller ID on my cell, I will never answer his calls when I'm not at work again.
That being said, I don't know how people survived without cell phones (ok so I know, I survived most of my life without them, but we've become so reliant on them now!).
