Anyone else's DC HATE wearing shoes??

DS is now 10.5 months and HATES wearing shoes. We followed the peds advice and didnt try any shoes (not even for fashion purposes ) on him until he was cruising. And I think hes gotten so used to being barefoot that he now has a fit and a half when we try to put shoes on him. Any tricks to get him over this? Its gonna be cold soon. Walking in the grass barefoot was fun in the summer....not gonna be so much fun with snow on the ground.

I think they just get used to it. Ann hated the first few times I put them on her and very quickly went to pointing and calling for them when they were across the room!

He will get used to it. Also, maybe the shoes he has are too tight on him? I bring the kids to Stride Rite every three months to get fitted.

We did the same thing with Mason. He hasn't worn shoes till recently and he's almost 15 months

Hasn't been walking yet.

I bought him some light pediped shoes (I think that was it).

He was cruising around the house with them and kept staring at his feet.
Brought him to daycare with them on about a month ago and just got used to wearing them all day. Now he just started walking so he already is used to the shoes.

Still glad I waited to put them on. 10.5 months is still early unless he's really walking.

ETA - I had him sized too, which helped. Then my parents got him nice shoes, but I bought the pedipeds since they were lighter to get him used to it first
