anyone else worried about whooping cough?
I saw a report on the news this morning that it has spread to so many school districts in Suffolk. DH is a teacher and it is starting to freak me out a bit.
I plan on asking my doctor about the vaccination at my next appointment.

i'm OOS but i'm concerned...there were a few reported cases not far from where we live last year...plus pertussis has been getting a lot of media attention lately, at least where i live...i'm not crazy about vaccines at all and i try to avoid them and i do sometimes wonder if they hype it up in the media to make $$$ but for something that can be deadly and could easily be mistaken as someone just having a cold, it makes me nervous...i want our immediate family vaccinated...
