Anyone else "supposed" to be traveling to Mexico ??HELP !
We are supposed to be going to Cancun in July  Now I'm stuck !
Long story short, we had a vacation booked for Puerto Rico last year while I was pregnant...Then because of previa, I was put on bed-rest= no vacation
Jet Blue gave us a credit for the airfare but we were charged $100 per person fee and it needed to be used in 1 year.
We then racked up enough points on our Jet Blue AMEX for a free flight for my DS....So we booked Cancun..
Now this ! Jet Blue is letting people re-book to another destination if you are flying before May 20...After that again its another $100 fee per person  to change !!!! And we will most likely lose our free flight - which was a PIA to book because they only give you a limited amount of times/dates to go with the free ones !
What do I do ? Do I change my resort ( we are in a vacation club type thing) now or do I wait it out a little longer to see if Jet Blue will be doing the right thing and letting people who are traveling later change flights with no fee ???
Uhhhh !!!! So much for relaxing

Holy crap! I have a similar story!!!!!!
I was supposed to go to Florida last June but had to cancel because I got pregnant & didn't want to fly. We then rebooked a trip to Cancun (June 11). Now we just cancelled that because of the flu outbreak.
We got charged a $90 change fee from Continental for the 1st flight & now they are going to charge us $300 to change THIS flight. (They are only waiving the fees if you are travelling from now until May 6)
I am so upset right now because I just want to go someplace & GET AWAY!!!!
I have no advice because I didn't wait to cancel. I just couldn't take the risk of going there possibly getting the flu & then passing it on to my son.

July is still a few months away. I have a feeling this flu will disappear by than. I wouldnt change your flight just yet but if it continues I would.

And what makes matters more complicated is that with our vacation club thing we are in, our "points" expire if we dont use them after 2 years and we have already postponed this once ...I dont want to wait too long either because they may not have any rooms at another resort if we wait !

I would not go. July is really just 2 months from now. There are really advising to go for "essencial" travel.
I would not chance it.
Just rebook, yes it's another $200 but it's better safe than sorry IMO.

Totally agree...and it looks like we are just rescheduling somewhere else...I'm just wondering if I should hold on to the airfare to see if Jet Blue extends their " courtesy" period so that we can use it for future travel and not lose out on any more money....And then just book new airfare for this new trip altogether ..
