Anyone else not want to tell anyone they are preggo?

I wish I could keep it a secret foreverrrrr.. well at least until is born.

I really love that its a secret between me and DH.. our immediate family and some close friends. I don't want to answer a million questions on "how im feeling or what I am going to name the baby" etc.

I have agreed to let my mom and my mil tell the rest of the family this weekend after our 12 week appointment but I don't know why im dreading it. If i dont let them tell my mom is likely to hurt someone - she has been busting at the seems since 8 weeks.

We are going to tell our friends too but I might wait a little longer not sure yet

am i normal?

I'm the worst with secrets and wanted to tell EVERYONE! lol but I have heard that people are like you...

i felt that way about telling my coworkers. i wasn't looking forward to the constant staring and questioning. but it was a lot of fun telling everyone and for the most part everyone is so nice and supportive. there are always the rude ones though - just gotta ignore those! i hear you though. it was nice having a secret for awhile.

I also wanted to keep the pregnancy between me and my dh and just a few close friends until giving birth. I also hate the endless questions and some of the not so nice comments!! Oh well! I try to just avoid the dumb questions/comments and focus on the positive!!

Only now at 39 1/2 weeks do I wish it was still a secret. If one more person asks me, are you having contractions, or why arent you in labor yet, I am going to scream! Could I possibly know when she is going to arrive?????

LOL at 15 weeks most of my co-workers still don't know. and I don't plan on telling them, they can find out for themselves

I wanted time to speed up so I could tell people. I don't like keeping stuff like that secret! But that being said, I found that being asked constantly how I was feeling was extremely annoying. People slowed down with that after awhile.

As for the name thing (I know you only mentioned these as examples but regardless...) DH and I refuse to tell anyone the kid's name. The only surprise we have left. People have been understanding of that for the most part and leave us alone.

its super fun and exciting i promise! the best thing about being preggo if someone asks you something you dont want to answer just say sorry gotta run to the bathroom bc all preggo ladies have to be there every 20 min anyway

It's fun to tell some people... but there are certain people that I just don't want to have the convo with.

i was the same as you- very quiet and secretive about it,
I didn't tell work until around 20 weeks and even then only certain people.
I'm just very private about this for some reason..

i didnt tell anyone except my immediate fam. until 17 weeks!! Thats when i started to show and they kinda knew.

It was GREAT having it between DH and I!!
