Anyone else not taking any birthing classes?
I have not taken any classes and probably not going to since I am due in a few weeks. With my work schedule, it was just too hard to attend any classes.. and now I am too uncomfortable to do anything.
Am I being a bad pregnant lady? Are those classes really important? I AM signing up to take infant/toddler CPR class with DH.

My DH doesn't want to take one. I haven't decided yet. That doesn't make you a bad pregnant lady, that is your choice if you want to or not.

Re: Anyone else not taking any birthing classes?
i'm not taking the lamaze class. I will watch the laugh & learn dvd and that'll suffice.
i don't really 'believe' or 'buy into' the whole 'breathing is the way to get through birth thing' and if i don't believe in it - then it likely won't work for me....(much like yoga and me don't mix)..

We didn't take any classes. We watched the Laugh & Learn Childbirth DVD. It was more than enough for us. Honestly, I feel ready to go

I think DH and I are just going to do the DVD- it's hard to go to the calsses with both of our schedules so different- hopefully the DVD will be enough

I am not taking any..I really don't think that I will be remembering the proper way to breathe when I'm in agony and cursing at DH for doing this to me Just kidding about that..but I just didn't feel it was necessary..JMO.

I didn't take one. Everything was just fine. The nurses will give you any information you may need.

I was going to take the class, but I just don't think it's for me. I take pre natal yoga and they teach you great breathing techniques that I intend to incorporate when the time comes.
Plus I am planning on having an epidural ASAP!

Re: Anyone else not taking any birthing classes?
I've had too many friends take these classes and tell me that when the time came everything they learned went out the window. I think I'd be freaked out anyway.
