Anyone Else Mad Cingular is now AT&T?
i used to be able to upgrade my phone whenever & there were free phones available and now its AT&T they dont let you upgrade whenever you want and the cheapest phone is like $150!

if you sign up for another 2 year agreement you should be able to upgrade and get a new phone really cheap.

Doesn't affect me much since I hated Cingular to begin with. I get absolutely NO reception in my apt. or city. and there was nothing they could do about it.
So this friday we are upgrading to the free Razrs since our contract is up, to see if its the phone, or cingular/att that sucks. If we still get no reception we're dropping them.

Im mad that I had AT&T before it became Cingular then they charged me $20 per phone to switch to Cingular and now they are back to AT&T and asking for that change fee is out of the question
I did just get a new Blackberry from them over the phone (my contract wasn't up until the end of the month but am going away on Friday) and they gave it to me for $99 instead of the $250. Maybe call them and see what they can do for you.

Like Karen, I'm pizzed that they went from ATT to Cingular - and I had to pay for a new plan/phone b/c the one I had wasn't compatible (or some such BS)...and now they're ATT again

I'm mad because AT&T screwed me over when I had my first cell phone.
I lost my phone and called to get a replacement. They said they'd charge me $50 for the same model (which was an older model). I agreed. My bill came and they charged me $250! They told me they couldn't honor the $50 price because I couldn't remember which cust. serv. rep I talked to. Needless to say, I always ask for the reps name and ID number now!

You have to fight with them. It takes alot of energy now to get what you want.
My friend just signed up (I referred her) and she has this special plan that's only $59 a month. I called to switch to that and argued with the guy for a 1/2 hour because they were bullsh*tting me saying the plan didn't exist. Finally I told them it would be cheaper to cancel my line (my contract was satisfied) and my bf's phone then stay with them. Then magically the plan popped into his computer..... I HATED AT&T and now they took over my cingular

Right. Did you know that if you were an AT&T member when Cingular took over you had to pay a fee to be switched to the cingular name and now they're back to AT&T
