anyone else feel really fatigued?

i am 8 wks and this weekend we were in New Hampshire at a resort in the mountains.
Not sure if the altitude had anything to do with it but i felt like a zombie on monday during the drive back home.
i slept in the car and when i woke up i was still exhausted and felt drained.

i hate not having any energy. does anyone else feel utterly fatigued?

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

I was like this in my 1st trimester too. I started feeling more awake at week 13 but now at week 18, I am a little tired again. It will get better! Chat Icon

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

Very normal....this time around, it only lasted a week for me, but I know that some people have had it last the whole 1st trimester.

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

Yep. Started for me at 7 weeks. Now at almost 10 weeks its still there. Some days worse than others. I find I feel much worse if I don't stay hydrated and eat every 3 hrs or so.

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

I was a total nightmare with fatigue in the first trimester. DH and I had just bought a new house and moving and decorating wasn't too fun for me as I was so tired. I perked up and finally felt normal again around 13 weeks.
Feel better and get as much rest as you can. Don't fight it, its normal to feel that way!

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

I was literally a zombie from weeks 5-9, now at 10 weeks its easing up a bit, but still on and off....I literally couldn't get out of bed, and normally you can't keep me down, I'm always running around doing something...

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

YES!!!!!!!! I'm going to be 11 weeks on Thursday, and I'm still feeling like a zombie all day, every day.

Yesterday I woke up at 10, and took a nap at 3. I can't wait to start feeling normal again!

I was beyond tired at 8 weeks. DH used to have to come get me at work because I would not drive home.

Re: anyone else feel really fatigued?

I felt like that for most of the first trimester. I remember walking a few blocks to the post office and wanting to collapse from fatigue. It definitely passes. Chat Icon

I'm 15 weeks and still feel totally exhausted. I think it's even worse than the morning sickness...all I want to do is sleep. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
