Anyone else a long term planner when it comes to DC??

So DH thinks I am nuts...DD's birthday is in AUGUST and I have already begun planning her birthday party!!!!

I think I might slightly agree with him, but the thing is last year I only planned a month or two in advance, and after finding the "perfect" theme, I then discovered most items were discontinued and sold out...not wanting to go through that again, I have started early....REALLY early!!! Chat Icon

I ordered the mylar balloons and the plates, I decided what kind of cake I will make, and I've been playing around with invite designs...I haven't done anything more than that, but DH's face when the plates/balloons arrived was like "Are you totally nuts?!?!"

Anyone else plan things like DC's birthday party really far in advance??

I picked a date for Abby's first bday more than 2 months ago and her bday is in August as well. My siblings vacation with their families and I want tomake sure people will be home.

Well, I just bought DDs outfit for her 2nd birthday, and it's in August too. I am already trying to figure out what we will do, invite, etc.

It is NOT nuts. I saw the outfit I wanted for DD at Dillards and then they sold out. It is a spring item and they had already sold out. I searched high and low and found it somewhere else!

That's awesome! I've actually thought about where to have her 3rd birthday (her 1st and her 2nd was/will be a BBQ at home)...I haven't confessed that one to DH!!!

So glad to see I'm not alone!!!Chat Icon

Good decision! I would have kicked myself if her b-day rolled around and I couldn't find it OR I couldn't find something I like better.

Birthday outfits are serious stuff!Chat Icon Chat Icon

(However, I do now worry about a growth spurt. Would it be crazy to buy two of the outfits? Probably, but I am still thinking about it but I am not sure I want to cross that line from planner to psychoChat Icon )
