Re: Anyone Else...
YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister rented the downstairs apartment in our house and my parents literally live around the corner from us - but they are my family so I dont mind it. DH may have a different opinion though - hahaha. If my inlaws lived that close there would definitely be issues. I dont even like when my MIL calls here too often!

Re: Anyone Else...
We live less than 3 miles from my ILs and our backyard backs up to my SIL's backyard. It can get busy around here sometimes - but so far so good!

Re: Anyone Else...
We currently are living with my inlaws. For a load of different reasons along with being hi risk its easier to have them here with me. So I can understand your frustration

Re: Anyone Else...
Im just worried about when we bring DD home and are trying to establish a schedule/routine (I plan to BF), and they come knocking whenever they feel like it...DH doesn't think I should be worried about this, but I think we should set up boundaries asap, like, at least a call 1st rule...

I also worry about this! My SIL (not the one who lives behind me) just had a baby in June and she had an open door policy - people were practically at her house before she came home with the baby! I have a dog and I want her to feel comfortable and that day will be so crazy for her and right now (even though I am only 12 weeks) I don't think I want EVERYONE here the day I get home...

I have a dog too, and never even thought of this, but that is a very good point, and maybe DH will be more open to my concerns if Ibring this up too!
And honestly, I am determined to BF and I'll pull my breast out and start feeding right in front of people if I need to so hopefully they will get the point and leave!!!

Re: Anyone Else...
My inlaws are 11 miles away and my parents are downstairs (legal mother/daughter house).
We really only see my inlaws when we go there (MIL doesn't drive) so it isn't so bad.
And both sets of grandparents LOVE to babysit, so its actually really helpful!

Re: Anyone Else...
We live two blocks away from my in-laws and it's a blessing with DS. They watch him two days a week and can always be counted on to lend a hand. They have helped us countless times with house issues.

Re: Anyone Else...
WOW that is way too close for comfort; I am so sorry! I would definitely talk to DH and ask for boundaries to be set asap.
