Anyone drive the Volvo XC90? Need reviews please.
I test drove a XC90 and wanted to know if anyone can give input on pros/cons that they experienced. TYM

The cons first - I have it and love it except it is very very expensive to maintain and fix. I just spent 4500 on a new transmission and the transmission service light still comes on. I lost one of the keys and the replacement is 250. I don't know if mine is a lemon or not but I have a lot of service issues with it and each visit to the shop alone is like 1,000. I have to say that I really miss my toyota foreruner which I had before this.
The pros are that it's enough room for me, 2 carseats and occasionally 2 golden retrievers. It holds a lot of my stuff, 2 strollers etc. It rides really nice and I love the look of the XC90.

They only take premium gas and get about 14 miles/gallon in the city (EPA estimate). I'd be concerned about that. But they do drive nicely and look good.

Hmm...we are thinking about getting one in the fall before the baby comes, I'd be interested in hearing some more about it.
I don't think my Toyota Echo is too comfy for more than 2 people  But dude, it ROCKS on gas mileage!

I had one for about 3 years and in the beginning I LOVED it (very roomy, drove great, and comfortable) However every time I took it in for service it was a RIDICULOUS amount of $$ to maintain and/or fix (when something needed it)!!! I finally got rid of it because I just could not take it anymore!

Not worried too much about gas since we drive the beemer during the week soi ts more the weekend car. Wear and tear wont be as much as someone using daily so hopefully that helps.
Did it break down alot?

Not for us-we are getting it at dealer cost if we go with this SUV. It was this or the Jeep Laredo hemi

I have one (a 2 year lease that is up soon) and the salesman told me only regular gas
I love it, have had zero problems with it and since I had a 2 year lease, I haven't paid for any regular service since I got it.
I will probably get another one in a few months...
