I did!!! They were absolutely amazing. I would never go anywhere else now if I had another, and I live 45 minutes away in Suffolk.
They also have one of the top NICUs.........that I hope no one ever needs. My nieces and my BFF DS were in their NICU and we would not be confident with them anywhere else as a family.

From what I remember, I don't think the buffet was too exciting Boxed milk, juice, danish, cereal, banana's & Apples.

Yeah, same.
That and it's really not a lot of fun to shuffle half-bent over to get your breakfast after a c-section. Not cool. I am looking forward to breakfast in bed at North Shore this time around!
Otherwise, great experience twice. No complaints at all!

There is North Shore in Manhasset and there is LIJ in New Hyde Park. They re about 2 miles apart from each other, but part of the same system. LIJ in NHP has what was formerly Schneider Chlldrens hospital (Now named Cohen Children's Medical Center) which has the NICU spoken of in a previous post.
I delivered Abby at LIJ in NHP and would not have a baby anywhere else. My doctor delivers there because of the NICU. I never thought I'd need it. I did - Abby was there for 9 days.
ETA: There is a breakfast cart at LIJ and they do have hard boiled eggs. However after ANY surgery, they want you up and walking. You SHOULD be walking after a c-section. If I can drag my butt out of bed, anyone can.

thank you so much. thats a good question I dont know which one my dr. goes too, I have to ask. I def want to try another hospital. I had 2 in winthrop 1 was a horrible experience and the other was ok/good. so I figured since I will need a c section I can pick which hospital this time around, and can have a great experience.
the one in manhasset is that on community drive?

North Shore Manhasset is on Community Drive. That is Nassau County.
LIJ in NHP is on Lakeville Road, Though the entrance is in Nassau, the actual building in which you would have your baby is in Queens so technically, your child will have been born in the city limits. Just an FYI.
