I am almost 30 weeks - so 7.5 months but i don't have a tape measure handy BUT I totally agree with this statement - there is NO WAY you can guage by someone else. I have two acquaintances due almost to the day the same date as me and their bellies are TOTALLY different - in fact, even though they have gained more weight then me - their bellies are no where near as big as mine. So - point being - I don't think there is any way to guage what you will look like in your belly or anywhere else based on someone else- I would go up at least 2 sizes - maybe 3 - better to be bigger and take in than too tight. . Good luck!Chat Icon

ETA: It is also hard to guage by where you are at at 3 months. At 3 months I had really gained nothing and was still wearing my regular clothes.

I'm coming out in a wedding when I will be 7 months. I am the Maid of Honor and I'm wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids....I ordered the dress in the biggest size they had.

i am in a wedding party at 26 weeks and ordered a size 18 - it has a "fitted" waist - i tried it on last week and it needs to be taken in a bit but she's waiting until the week before the wedding to finalize. Get the bigger size - easier to take in than to let out

Re: Anyone at 7 months

I'm not 7 months now, but I will be in September, when I am in a wedding too!

I usually wear a taken-in 8 for BM dresses, so they ordered me a 14, no maternity. Hopefully I won't fill the whole thing in!

Try to see what size you wear now and compare your belly now for what you were before.

I have only gained about 3 inches in my waist, MAYBE. I am starting my 5th month.

I'm almost 28 weeks. I just measured the biggest part of my belly & it was 40.5"

I think if you are average size to begin with, the maternity dresses might be too big in other places.
