Anyone add a detached garage to your property?

Saw a great house yesterday but there is almost no storage. A garage would be ideal (although we were thinking of some sort of large shed that is waterproof)

Anyone ever add a garage? What is the price? etc I know we would have to contact the town for a permit etc and our taxes would go up

Just trying to figure out our options because we loved the house..

check kaufelds out east they have the prebuit ones, i would think on the high end the are around 10k.
