Re: Anybody pack with packing cubes?
YES!
I just got back from a 3 week trip, Hong Kong, Thailand and Dubai. I used packing cubes from amazon, they were compression cubes from eagle creek.
I did a 3 week trip with just a carry on luggage and a tote bag for under the seat.
They were extremely helpful for me to keep organized and from unpacking and packing every 3 days to go to the next stop.
I highly reccomend them. I rolled my shirts to keep them from wrinkling but stuff did get wrinkled

Not cubes, but I used some travel space bags last time we went to Disney - one to compress the princess dresses, and a couple others to keep each DD's clothes together. It helped keep things organized since we shared suitcases, and we don't unpack.

I've never used those space bags. That's a good idea for the princess dresses. Which bags did you use? How did you compress them again when returning? Do you have to travel with that vacuum thing?

I bought 6, 3 small and 3 medium
eagle creek
eagle creek
These are the 2 styles I bought.
It was long trip, and it was super easy I had to get the right carry on as well from briggs and riley.
When you travel internationally, you can't be waiting for luggage it was great to just get off the plane and then go, one of the places in Thailand we had to do a boat transfer and it is a real pain lugging huge luggages around. We were 2 couples and we each had a carry on. it made our travel that much better.
I bought tide packets from amazon so I could do a sink full of laundry which I did a couple of times, and I also sent my laundry out twice during the middle of the trip.
Last year traveled to Hawaii and Bora Bora with the other couple and we had HUGE luggages some which topped 70 pounds and I barely wore any of it and it was a huge pain and made the room a huge mess as well and wasn't necessary
edit: Here is the carry on I got, my husband also got one as well.
Briggs and Riley
Here is the tote that fit over the handles of the carry on

I have and I don't really like them. I can fit more in my suitcase without using the cubes.

Thanks! I've been looking online. I'm kind of obsessed with the compression ones.

Re: Anybody pack with packing cubes?
I'm intrigued.
We vacation for 2 weeks in the USVI every year, and wind up taking 2 large and 1 small suitcase, two backpacks as carry ons, and 1-2 cooler bags. Because we have a time share unit, we travel with a lot of stuff other than clothing, like food, snacks, snorkel gear, beach/pool stuff.
ETA : just ordered the cubes from Amazon.

I used a large "dual use" bag - which means you can vacuum air out or you can push the air out, but I think they still make some that you just use compression and don't even have the vacuum port.

Oh interesting. I'll use that for all the princess dresses. Which one did you use? Zip loc?

Re: Anybody pack with packing cubes?
I use packing cubes, but they aren't space bags.
I absolutely love them because of how organized they help me stay throughout the whole vacation. I usually pack three people's clothes in my one carry-on and everyone's stuff stays neat and in it's place. I don't know how I managed before them!
