Anybody know about the Chrysler Town & Country
Thinking of buying a used one (2012). When I was looking at it, it seemed like the 3rd row was "reclined" sort of 45 degrees. I'm worried about being able to put DD's booster seat back there if it's not upright. The salesperson said that's how it is...not adjustable.
Anybody know if this is how it is, or if it is adjustable somehow? And if always like this, has there been an issue putting a booster seat or child in the seat? DD is 9, but I still have her in a booster.
Or am I just imagining this?

The outboard seats of the back row aren't very safe due to the placement of the seat belts. There's also a lack of tether points in the back row so you can only put one forward facing car seat back there.
ETA: the seat belt issue may depend on the year but I think it's T&C and grand caravans after 2010. If you look at the seat belt placement of the 3rd row, they come from the front, and not from behind. So it's actually not safe for adults or kids not in a 5 pt harness that's not rear facing. Not sure how they got away with passing safety tests. It's a terrible set up.

Re: Anybody know about the Chrysler Town & Country
I inherited an older model for awhile and it was always breaking down.
My SIL leased a new one over the past several years and it had a ton of electrical problems as well. She got stranded quite a few times.
She ended up getting the Honda mini van.

I am leasing a 2013 right now and have had kids in the back seat in car seats and booster seats with no issues... However I am now dealing with a lot of mechanical issues with this van. I had a 2006 and 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan before this Chrysler and both had severe electrical issues... I am no longer a fan of Dodge/Chrysler.

Re: Anybody know about the Chrysler Town & Country
We just had one of these as a rental car in FL. My DD sat in the 3rd row in her booster seat without issue. She uses a backless booster though.
Overall I thought the van was the biggest piece of junk though. Rattling doors, just junky feel inside. My DD also almost got closed in the door. I guess there is no sensor to make the door stop closing if someone is in the way (like with an elevator). I have never driven a van, so maybe that's normal.

the door is suppose to stop and open up when it hits something, but it doesn't work right. It needs to hit a very solid object. My son is not solid enough and it closed on him. Thankfully he was able to get out of the way before it closed all the way...
I have had it in the shop 3 times for the door since May. I use to be a van of Dodge/Chrysler, but not anymore

I have the 2014 T&C. I have used the 3rd row for booster seats no problem and have had no issues at all with my van so far. I love my van.

I have a Routan, same body and van essentially, and my doors definitely stop when they bump something.

Anybody know about the Chrysler Town & Country
i don't but my parents had a sebring and we all hated that car- the breaks sucked and the transmission died out on us after only 8 years. I know alot of people who say to never buy Chrysler, but I have a Jeep now (same company) and I love it, so who knows! lol
