Anybody else's baby not want meat?

She loves fruit, she ate veggies though not as enthusiastically as fruit of course and so I tried to move on to give her the stage 2 meals. She really seems to not like the turkey and rice meal I started with. I've tried a few days in a row now. I'll try something different but I expected her to be more enthusiastic about it. It smelled pretty good considering it came out of a jar.

Genevieve only does not eat the meat if we give it to her plain, and I dont blame her. They are so gross!

I started Lauren on meat awhile ago, but used the Gerber Simple recipes ones. They have meat mixed in with a fruit or veggie. Now that she's tasted it, I do buy the meats or make my own, but I always mix it with a veggie so she'll eat it.

OMG! I was just joking with DH yesterday that Emily is a self-professed vegitarian!!!

She used to eat meat occasionally when she was younger. She liked the turkey & sweet potatoes gerber food on occasion.

Now that she's only on table food though she refuses any and all babyfood, so it's not like I'd get her to eat that.

But she just won't touch any meat that we give her. Chicken, beef, none of it.

However she loves tofu and beans.

So I try to give her them whenever I am able to. Sometimes I'll stop off at our favorite spanish restaurant and just pick her up a small cup of rice and beans so that I have it for the week.

It drives me nuts!

As my ped said would you want to eat meat from a jar. He was right-- yuck she eats chicken and turkey now no problem. Beef is a little harder to get her to eat. Depends on how it's made.











SIDE NOTE- it's so early that I first typed this as "Beer is a little harder to get her to eat" Thank goodness I caught that typo.

I made chicken for DS and he will not eat it and then I gave him the Gerber Tender Harvest mix and he ate it, but it smelled so nasty! I think I am going to try again.

Marron will only eat the meat if it is mixed with something else so I either give her one of the "dinners" or I mix the meat with her veggies. I think they make a Chicken with Apples dinner -- maybe your DD would enjoy that?

Andrew really eats anything (knock on wood) but he really loves the Simple Recipes one.

OOh and the Chicken Noodle. Really tastes like chicken noodle soup
